A year from now you may wish you had started today.” – Karen Lamb

A key factor in creating a positive money mindset is to avoid procrastination. Procrastination is a thief of time and holds us back from what we want to achieve.

I absolutely LOVE this blog that focuses on the “2-minute productivity rule” by theorganizedceo.com

My favourite quote from it is:

“If it’s going to take you 30 minutes to do something, but you only have 10 minutes before you need to leave the house, get out your calendar and add the task to your schedule. It could be later that day, later that month, or later that year. It really doesn’t matter as long as you make a plan, and you do it now”.

Totally relatable right?

Get a handle on securing your financial future – go on – “Do It Now” 🙂

They go on to introduce us to their “Do It Now” Rule:

Do it now” referred to as the “2-minute productivity rule.” The rule states that if you can do something in under 2 minutes, then you should do it now.

When we procrastinate, we end up spending time thinking about the thing, worrying about the thing, talking to other people about the thing, researching the thing… just do the thing! It’ll save you time on all that back-and-forth action that comes from procrastinating.

Instead of doing all that running around, open your email and do it now. Start the project and finish it. Focus completely on your meeting without being distracted by your unfinished project. Do it now and finish it.”

Wise words indeed!
